John Deere launched the gigabit (Gb) Ethernet Switch, a first to market for industrial applications. The new Gb Ethernet Switch, planned for release in summer 2023, manages the transfer of high-quality data between multiple devices in a system—all in real time. Similar technology can be found in John Deere See & Spray Ultimate. In this application, 36 cameras mounted on the sprayer boom take high-quality images that route back through the Gb Ethernet Switch to their respective processing units.
The team also added a new integrated display to its product line up giving even more features and functionality for specialized applications. The DR10/12 is a reconfigurable display providing high-brightness and sunlight readability in a 10-inch or 12-inch HD touchscreen. Data collection and processing provides 64 Gb of flash memory and 8 Gb of RAM.
